Outstanding opportunity for a Senior Database Engineer with a top global games website. Responsible for database infrastructure.  

Skills Required:  

• Professional standard of English
• Able to write good quality technical documentation
• Degree in: Computer Science, Technical Informatics or other relevant
• 5 or more years worth of relevant experience in the design and development of databases
• Profound knowledge of Linux (ideally CentOS) server administration
• Profound knowledge of relational databases including MySQL, VoltDB & PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of Soir and experience of using ETL tools an advantage
• Outstanding analytical skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Duties Include:  

• Maintain & support the database systems - part of an on- call team after having being familiarised with specific processes and technologies
• Performance analysis, monitoring and tuning of the Database
• Optimise and consolidate current database infrastructure
• Design of ETL processes for existing relational databases, extension of data models
• Appropriately drive cross-team solutions
