VFX Artist – Dusseldorf

Our client is looking for a knowledgeable VFX Artist, ideally with AAA game experience.


Responsibilities

Create efficient in-game VFX utilising accessible tools

Define the look of the VFX of the title with the Art Director, and create with that remit

Alongside the designers and engineers, communicate gameplay mechanics within budget


Requirements

At least 3 years relevant games industry experience

Experienced planning and anticipating/mitigating hitches in the development cycle

Skilled with:

  • Particle systems
  • Shaders (Unreal or Hlsl)
  • Motion, compositing, procedural animation (modelling/texturing)
  • FX work flows/editors
  • 3DS Max and Maya

Familiar with:

  • AAA game design
  • Basic scripting

Portfolio/showreel that is annotated signifying your work that demonstrates:

  • Natural and organic effects (smoke, fire, waterfalls).
  • Fantastical effects animation (spells, explosions).
  • Rigid or soft body dynamics.
  • Effects created in a game engine.
