Our client is a leading AAA presence in their area, creating the games across platforms that make them a truly recognised global development studio. They now seek to add a Mid-level and a Senior VFX Artist to their Netherlands-based studio's talent.
Responsibilities:
- A driving force within the visual effects team, responsible for the creation and implementation of real-time particle and shader effects across a wide range of environments, weapons and characters
- Collaborate closely with Design and Art Departments while ensuring Effects are to standard and within technical specification
- Heavy involvement in in-house scripting tools (similar to Unreal Blueprint) to set up the logic that drives your effects to become the AAA standard the studio is known for
Requirements:
- At least 1 year's experience as VFX artist in the games industry or applicable real-time environment, ideally with at least one title shipped
- Strong proficiency in Maya (or equivalent node-based shader builder tools), as demonstrated in portfolio
- Good understanding of particle systems (Houdini, Popcorn FX, Cascade, etc.) and visual scripting languages, with fluid simulation experience a major benefit (FumeFX, Realfow, etc.)
- Self-motivated, pro-active and can thrive in a fast-paced team environment
