The Role

Our client is looking for a talented Technical Artist to help us build stunning and inspiring art while maintaining solid performance for an upcoming title. You will be responsible for providing and maintaining a consistently high standard of support for the art teams within the studio. You will assist with the technical implementation and management of in-house and outsourced assets.

You’ll be inspiring the team and maintaining the quality bar while collaborating with Art direction and Design to ensure the game looks great and plays fantastic. You will help establish the vision for the game and you will be a key point of contact for our world-leading development partners.

Responsibilities:

Communicate between all disciplines to resolve issues and improve game quality

Prototype, develop and improve art pipelines

Optimise run-time performance of our games

Assist the programming team with implementing art-related tools and features

Skills and Experience

Strong proactive problem-solving attitude

Experience with Unreal Engine, especially UE4

Demonstrable knowledge of modern game content creation workflows using Autodesk 3dsmax and/or Autodesk Maya

Good application scripting experience (e.g.Python, MAXScript, Javascript)

Preferred Skills and Experience

Rigging experience

Run-time performance profiling

Strong digital art skills (modelling, texturing,lighting)

Knowledge of programming languages such as C++or C#

Experience with outsourcing processes
