Technical Character Artist – Cracow – Console

Our client is fiercely independent. Having garnered considerable prestige, their most recent multi-million selling release saw them win ‘Best Game’ across the board. With their highly anticipated new title in development, they are looking for an exceptional, talented and experienced Technical Character Artist.


Responsibilities

Work directly with the designers, programmers, animation, character and hard surfaces teams, conducting on-going technical asset reviews, providing corrective feedback and conducting workshops as their dedicated technical artist

Develop modelling and rigging/skinning/texturing pipeline for character and hard surface assets

Secondary motion set up (cloth simulation, rigid body simulation)

Define, document and maintain technical standards


Requirements

At least 2 years experience in game development

Confident utilising Maya and Photoshop, and ideally Houdini and Substance

Good modelling and texturing, and basic PBR and animation skills

Familiar with a scripting language (python preferred)

Good communicator in English
