Lead Technical Artist – UK South
Our client is looking for a Lead Technical Artist with experience in AAA current gen console games.
Responsibilities
Liaise between art and tech teams as the day-to-day support contact and the enduring developer
Resolve snags, maintain and propose optimization developments
Develop tools & scripts, iterate and archive documentation
Carry the Art Director’s vision through all the material
Propose and deliver goals and monitor implementation
Continually absorb emergent trends and technical developments
Pass on training, and mentor the teams
Requirements
At least 4 shipped titles for consoles, as either Technical Artist or Artist
Artistically able, ideally demonstrated within real-time game engines
Good communicator in English s
Experienced utilising/working in:
- Creative coding frameworks in at least one of HLSL / GLSL, Python, C++, Java, MAXScript or MEL
- 3D Math functions (linear algebra & vector maths) for real time graphics
- Pixel & Vertex Shaders, 3dsmax, Photoshop, Substance Designer/Painter & Unreal Engine toolsets
- Profiling tools for performance reviews and optimisations
